Verizon has finally released Android 4.4.2 for the Verizon Note 2, which just came out last week. Well, you don’t have to unroot to get the latest stock firmware and we actually don’t recommend it as you will be stuck with latest bootloader, which will prevent you from installing AOSP ROMs and you will have to use SafeStrap to install only TouchWiz ROMs.

Illusion ROM is an AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) built on Slim ROM with latest Android 4.2.2 and a hybrid ROM with features ported from other AOSP ROMs like AOKP and ParanoidAndroid. This ROM is available for ALL Note 2s including AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, GT-N7100, GT-N7105, Canadian, and Korean.

NoWizAOSP ROM is a “hybrid” custom ROM with an Android 4.1.2 TouchWiz-base but with most of TouchWiz removed. This is a great ROM for those of you who want to keep enjoying native Note 2 features like S-pen apps or TouchWiz camera while being able to run your phone faster without any TouchWiz bloatware and with many AOSP apps.
