You have to use galaxy note 2 toolkit to root first. That’s the only way I got my tmobile note 2 to take any jedi roms.

Yes S-Pen functions are still all there. You will lose some samsung apps but not much and they’re likely ones you won’t really care about. It’s definitely a good rom! I’ve been running it since X2 and I really like it and would say it’s worth updating to X5. You dont gain a ton of new features but the ones you do gain are nice.

I had this problem with the sd card and I looked into it on the XDA forum and found out this Rom doesnt work with a 64g sd card for some reason. I put a 16g in instead cause I had one laying around and its been working fine. I love the Rom but it would be great if they can update so a 64g works. I really want all the space I can get.
Yeah, I just did. I have a 64gig class 10, brand new. Worked a few minutes ago with the previous version of jedi. This sucks! Fix it now! I like the rom but no sd no bueno!

Hey Max, I updated to the X5 & love it but I was wondering if the apps to sd mod will work with this Rom? My internal memory is so full I cant download anything & would love to switch my internal & external but am afraid to try. Dont wanna damage anything.
Installed the X5 and the phone would not read the SIM. I had to use Odin to flash everything back to stock. Is there something I did wrong? I don’t see anyone else having this issue.

I flash the both rom’s the jedi-X2_7105 and the jedi-X5 and they run perfectly on my t mobile note 2…

I think it might have been removed on newer version.
For “Ink Effect”, you have to enable under Settings> Lock Screen options > Ink Effect. I have mine set to purple.

click on the go to note2root.com T-Mobile roms section, then click on Jedi x review, then click on xda.. it will take you to another page that has the most recent version of this rom jedi x 7.2. flash the most recent version
Will there be an update with a wifi calling fix? I’d rather use this rom instead of unrooting to update, only to root again… Unless there is a EASY method. –This is my first droid…

1) gps for all jedi x series work fine.try re
2) jedi x is up to x7.2 head over to XDA forums located just up above the comments on zedos page here for more on what has been updated.
Ptmr3 is on vacation at the moment so updates will be scarse for a little bit.
To everyone having issues with their SD cards you need to download perseus kernal located here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960935 in order to get it working properly.
Also regarding the recent update by tmobile. Ptmr is aware of it and will be addressing it when he gets back from vacation.

hey bro tgis Rom doesnt work in my galaxy note2 smart dock…. but n7105 whatever that rom is called does work with my dock… and that rom has asop theme.. its way better
Im pretty sure this is based off of n7105 source. Hence the reason it has multiwindow.. so I dunno what to tell you about it not being a good rom.. And as for themes there is also an aosp theme for this rom by the famous foreverloco.. and also cmenard.
well the N7105 Rom works with my hundred dollar smart dock and this Rom gives me an error when
I dock my note2… and I’ve been looking for the wallpaper that comes with jedi x and can’t find it.. the wallpaper comes preloaded when I first started up jedi x but after I changed it and tried to go back I couldn’t find it.. note I’m running n7105 and wasn’t that wallpaper, do you know where I can find it?
You can find the theme / wallpaper on the xda forums located here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987634 its in his second post on that page called mini theme.. comes with the wallpaper ur looking for im pretty sure. Also. There might be a missing .lib file that might be a reason why ur getting an error from your dock. You might need to wait a few days since ptmr3 is on vanation. Im sure if u go to xda and throw him a PM he will get back to you as soon as he can..

Recently got Galaxy Note 2/ Verizon. I installed Jedi X. I just discovered I can’t send pictures via SMS. I called Verizon, who said the phone activation was incomplete. They tried, and tried, but couldn’t activate fully, on their end. They said it’s “probably” the SIM Card. But last night I checked with my partner, who also has the Galaxy Note 2, and for which I installed Jedi X, and his phone has the same problem. Is it the ROM? The rooted phone? What next?

Installed the custom rom (MyRom) and everything works fine except no more phone. Everytime I try to make a call it shows a “Network not registered” error message. Also with or without the sim card inside it shows signal bars on the display. I tryed re-installing older/other roms which all install, but still no phone and same error message.

well it doesn’t sound like everything went to smooth then..lol go to settings, about device, status, and check if your Imei number is still there

My upgrade from x5 was very smooth, no issues except:
multi window now lists every application, so i had to manually remove them
my signal goes into 3G when the phone is dormant, and as soon as i start browsing, switches back to 4G – anyone else is seeing it? is it somehow connected to overclocking to safe the battery?
any ideas guys?

try wipe data factory reboot, wipe cach, wipe dalvic cache, wipe system and then install the rom.. also use twrp recovery.. aight Carlos

What does twrp recovery mean
get info your phone long enough to download goo.Im from the market.. install it your menu and select.. install open recovery script.. install it then reboot into recovery and wipe factory reset, cach,dalvik cache, system, … but don’t select format data at the bottom you never need to do that.. only select wipe data factory reset.. any ways then install Jedi after reboot don’t touch the phone for ten minutes restart.. it will work then for sure.. I’d bet money

ok.. do this… go to your recovery.. I’m guessing your using cwm. wipe data factory, and also go to mounts and storage and choose format system.. then install Jedi don’t touch your phone for ten mins after you start your phone up for the first time then reboot.. then it should work

Since changing to this rom my gps has problems locating me from time to time, a reboot always fixes it but its annoying, anyone else having this problem? Also any idea how to get all the all share funtionality back? I Tried restoring it from a backup from the stock rom but had no luck.
Hi everyone. My icons got screwed up too, I re flashed to a very similar rom [aeonfkuxx v1] that’s based of of the t-889 so you don’t lose the wifi calling feature. I like it a lot. Very fast, same features and some.

hey so i was just wondering whats up with the 3g back to 4g and keeps switching is that cause of battery or is there a way to fix that?? this sight is pretty sick not even a few months a go i rooted my galaxy s3 for the first time and i used all the info off here to do it and its child’s play. and now i rooted my note 2 t889 and its hella sick. with the things i have done to it the download speed is around 17-18mps thats off of t-mobile in salem oregon. and benchmark with oc of 1800 “7425″
With this rom I get slower speeds on stock I have 12 to 15 mbps and this rom is like
6 to 9 mbps.
Rom has nothing to do with your speeds.. go download the modem for your service provider and you will get your regular speeds.. jedi roms in any of the updated versions do not flash the modem anymore.
Do I just flash the modem?
Whatever modem you had flashed before you flashed jedi x9 no matter what that modem is still intact. Jedi roms dont flash modems anymore.. so find the modem specific to your service provider and phone model and flash that if you feel like your data speeds arent up to par.. im reaching (56Mbps) on a constant with jedi xp9 for i317. Your data speeds should not be affected..
Yeah but dosent it have the internet speed tweaks on the rom or kernel. ?? I also use pimp my rom to for network tweak also.. but what modem do I download and where at???? Im pretty sure I have the correct one idk
If you flashed this rom you will still have the same modem you had before you flashed the rom.. if your having data issues. Make sure if u did a dirty flash that you clean flash the rom. If you did clean flash jedi x9 then it has to be the area you are in.. im talking to the developer as we speak and your data speeds if your not in canada should be fine. If you are on the t889v model I suggest heading to the t mobile thread on xda and grab the t889v modem..
No its thw us version.. I know it should be different for different times of days. But shouldnt my data be a consistent stream?? Cause like late at night like 3 am it runs 14-19mbps but during the day its around 1-4mbps. And is there any way you could post a link for the moed. Usa t889 t-mobile…. and then the other thing is I go and use app2sd it will be fine for a day and what will happen is that I go and unlock my screen later that day and it wont be working. Like my internal wont be showing anymore and will say sd card un suddenly removed.. now dose app2sd mod only work on international versions or no??? I do a clean flash an such and do I need to partition if so how do I do one??

I downloaded the Jedi X successfully on my T889V. I ran it and everything works fine, but I’m not sure how to flash the T889V modem. I went into recovery mode and ran the T889V modem.zip but it didn’t seem to do anything when I rebooted the phone.

Okay I seen where the post was for the Jedi blue theme but can’t seem to find a dl link for it. So once I dl’d it how would I install it. I went to the xda site and looked at the Jedi academy thread and didnt see anything when I did a search. But it did answer a ton of questions I had. Also if there are any other themes that works with the 23 toggles out there? I want to face lift the note 2 even more so I can rub it in to people . Thanks
I just installed the Jedi rom x. After installing it I am having issues with my wifi connects. I am unable to connect to my wifi network with great strength. I am given a message “network disabled. poor connection.” please replay thank a lot.
I my reception sucks with this rom. Its myt only issue with this Rom but its pretty major I downloaded the modem for ATT but the problem still exist not as bad but I constantly drop calls all day long really annoying I’m looking for another rom that has Multitasking and 4.2.2 and Phone and data working for ATT HELP!!!!!
Same with me! I don’t know why, sometimes it won’t even dial the number it just has no connection. Or the call will go through but there won’t be any sound :s

In regards to the 64gb microsd not working with this rom, i know for a fact it will because i’ve done. You have to format your sd card to fat 32. a 64gb card by default is exFAT. I somehow reformatted my sd and it’s back to the default of exFAT, so it’s no longer fat 32 and will not work with this rom. Now, the trouble i’m having is i can’t remember which program i used to format the 64gb to fat 32. All versions of Windows will not format anything over 32gb to fat 32 so you have to use a third party program. Windows will only do anything over 32gb as exFAT or ntfs. So, does anyone know i’ve a good program for formatting something over 32gb to fat 32? I’ve been search google and so the programs i’ve found are not doing he trick (i.e. Fat32 Formatter, HP USB fat32 this one will not work from an sd slot, only a usb drive. and swissknife which i couldn’t get to work) If anyone knows a program to cn do this please leave a comment. This worked pretty well for me for a while, but i’m noticing now that it frequently drops a lot of my calls or i can’t even connect to my network. Switching out of this rom, anyone reccomend another good rom?

This rom is amazing, and working perfectly! I just have one issue. The email client will not load. It constantly looks for available accounts, and sends me a vz pin text message with an error, and never loads. Anyone else had this issue, or know how to fix it?
