Android 4.4.2 ND7 + Root for Verizon Galaxy Note 2!

For this week’s Verizon Galaxy Note 2 ROM of the week, check out the latest Android 4.4.2 ND7 + Root!

Verizon has finally released Android 4.4.2 for the Verizon Note 2, which just came out last week.  Well, you don’t have to unroot to get the latest stock firmware and we actually don’t recommend it as you will be stuck with latest bootloader, which will prevent you from installing AOSP ROMs and you will have to use SafeStrap to install only TouchWiz ROMs.

You can instead install the Android 4.4.2 ND7 Stock ROM which also comes with root and you can keep your older bootloader.  New bootloader does not improve performance in anyway, it just locks you down.

The Android 4.4.2 ND7 seems very solid, I am surprised that it is actually pretty fast out of the box and battery life is good.  If you want to try it out, just make a backup of your current ROM and take it for a test drive over the week(end)!

I did the OTA update to 4.4.2. Right now I have stock bootloader and no root. Would flashing this ROM with Odin successfully replace the system image, leaving the stock bootloader to give me root?

    Appreciate the info!

to get back to recovery mode (twrp, cwm) pull out your battery and put it back in press and hold volume up, power button and home button at the same time then you can reinstall the rom you were using before, Enter back into recovery mode then you can restore (if you made a backup of previous rom which hopefully u did) the data you had before you installed the ND7 4.4.2
