LiquidSmooth ROM v3.2 is finally out! I have been enjoying the previous v3.1 for weeks but I find that v3.2 is better than ever, giving you more stability and a solid Android 4.4.4 ROM.
Many of earlier Android 4.4.4 custom ROMs sometimes were buggy on some of the variants but I feel the latest version is better than ever. If you are looking for a good, stable 4.4.4 ROM with lots of customization/features, my top two choices are currently Gummy ROM and LiquidSmooth ROM.
For overclocking, also install Agni kernel, which gives you much better battery life and overclocking support up to 2Ghz. For overclocking, I recommend 1.8Ghz at most and you can use either LiquidSmooth Performance menu or the Agni Control app.
For customization, LiquidSmooth ROM offers one of the best customization options through its LiquidSmooth settings (in Settings). You will be able to customize everything from your lockscreen, status bar, navigation bar, CPU, and much more.
Navigation custom setttings are my favorite part of the ROM, you have many choices including App circle sidebar, Gesture anywhere (shortcuts using gestures), PIE Controls (two PIE controls on-board), and customization offered for your soft buttons plus navigation rings. By using your navigation options carefully, you will be able to maximize efficiency of your phone while on the go.
For notifications, LiquidSmooth ROM offers Active Display, Driving Mode, HALO, Heads Up notifications, lockscreen nofitications, and some more.
Many of the LiquidSmooth builds also come with an overclockable kernel, meaning you will be able to easily overclock for your high-end games/graphic-intensive apps.

BEFORE INSTALLING, UPGRADE your CWM Recovery to v6.0.4.3 or higher using ROM Manager App from the Play Store. Also if using TWRP, use Goo Manager app to update to v2.6.3.3 or higher. Otherwise you will FAIL during install! You can also install CWM Recovery manually here.
To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install kernel, install Gapps, install HighOnAndroid Conversion Kit (If you want OnePlus One camera, theme, AudioFX/Screencast apps), and reboot. (If for some reason you end up in a bootloop or get force-closed keyboard error on boot, reboot into CWM recovery, go to Mounts & Storage->format /system. For TWRP, go to Wipe->Advanced Wipe->Wipe /system.)

A: AOSP ROMs (What is AOSP?) do not support beyond 32GB of microSD external storage.

A: You forgot to install Gapps, reboot into recovery and install it! (See above for download.)
Q: The ROM is not booting!
A: Try formatting /system and re-install ROM, sometimes the system partition gets corrupt and you may have to try 2 or 3 times before the ROM boots.

hi max’; i wonder if i can install liquidsmooth v3.2 to an sgh-t889?
I’ve been using the v3.2 nightlies for several weeks and absolutely love it! I’ve not had any real issues with the nightlies. The only thing I had hoped for was a way to increase volume and usually it worked fine after I adjusted the Equalizer settings and rebooting. One the 09-30 nightly, my battery life wasn’t as good as the previous nightlies, so hopefully on the official version it’s gotten better.
I HIGHLY recommend this ROM. It’s been my daily driver since the v3.1 Official.
Trying it now, after clearing everything to move from CM, on my first try almost everything in the Google store said it wasn’t compatible. So, I’m in the process of installing again and hoping it will be better this time. I’d used 3.1 before, and went back to CM. See if this one works better for me.

Seems no one here had an issue with Skype… I had trouble and still have following these steps..
The steps to try to get Skype to work…
Use Odin 3.9 to return to stock from LS 3.2 did not have full root access enabled USB debugging ran Kingo v 121 as I have experienced difficulty. Check root access with Root Checker all good.
Still find the Agni Kernel was installed – can’t find a stock kernel for a Note 2 N7100 so left that for now.
Check Skype after installing …all good. Installed Antutu v 5.1 and now have 26760.
My thought was to get it back to stock and to try to flash LS and delete nothing as I know I can get back to stock fairly easily as I have backed up with Titanium.
Into Clockwork Mod and followed their options to flash and enabling Touch version. It took two goes as the direct flash of Touch failed so standard first then Touch. All good….
While there boot into Recovery and without any other actions flashed LS 3.2 then the LS Gapps and Agni was already on the phone left that alone for now. Leaving the Viper flash to later.
So the LS Rom was installed over the top of a pretty clean stock rom 4.4.2 from Sammobile. Make sure you have the correct one for your phone. I needed the French one as my phone was bought from Kogan and you can’t be sure what stock they buy – that has never been an issue though.
All done and chose Reboot System now… The LS start graphic displays and cycles for around 2miniutes and then Optimising Apps screen about 40 secs.
Message Unfortunately Browser has stopped… and a couple of others Google Play, Drive and so on just selected ok ok.
So checked Skype its still doesn’t work messaging sort of half works can send but can’t receive.
Look at how long ago I repaired this Skype issue in the older version and they have not resolved this to suit the GT N7100.
As I said in previous posts why spend every day trying to re-invent the wheel. I will watch with interest as you guys try to get Skype and the other issues resolved.
For now I am off to greener pastures stock with the Agni Kernel looks pretty good but may hit CM11 M10 while I am rooted so to speak.
Hope I have helped knock on the Developers door it’s not all about doing what looks flash but addressing concerns raised by many users months and months ago.

Good choice – would you buy a phone that had the LS level of support…or the issues that it causes.
Go to Sammobile and download the latest EXACT Samsung rom for your device and flash it with Odin.
Stock is always better than having things broken and spending hours each day looking for work arounds …the S pen and the screen capture and all the other features work straight out of the box.
Then sit back and enjoy your phone….
I have asked lots of questions of MAX, Google Plus, here and on Facebook but he is just a figment of our imagination as there is rarely a response… not a problem really I don’t need his help but if you run a blog or a site every once in a while you should at least post some replies. He wont see this so it doesn’t matter.

Had been using this rom for a week and it is definitely way better than stock ROM. Greater battery life hours and the pie controls is almost similar to the Android L feature.
However, there is some problem on camera recently. It prompts “Cannot connect to camera” when trying to use the Google camera. Sometimes apps like Whatsapp and Instagram stop working when I am trying to use camera feature.
My workaround now is to reboot phone few times till it is working. Wondering if any fix for camera.

but i back to stock because
1. with this rom i dont get lte 4g network.
2. when i receive/make a call.. screen goes black wihout reason.

Tried it. Its definitely more stable than the LS 3.1 with less errors and a few more nifty customizations which is great. But my mic recording has become so soft i have no idea how to fix it. Nothing with with either my mic as with works with stock rom or the speakers which plays just fine.
Is there some setting i can change? Tried changing the settings on the AGIN Control under mic sensitivity. Doesn’t seem to make any discernible difference whichever way i tweak it. Is it a bug or a driver issue ?

Agni kernel works. After you install LiquidSmooth 3.2, re-flash Agni, and its fully functional. This on Sprint Note 2.
The only problems I am having is I am not getting LTE, only 3G, even after the nightlies update. Anyone got a fix?

I can’t seem to install Agni kernel. I tried using twrp to install Agni kernel but it failed all the time. Can anyone give me a clear steps on how to install this kernel so I can overclock my phone?
Also, I’m only seeing LTE. There is no 4g on my note 2. I went to the APN setting and tried to add a new APN, it won’t let me save or add new APN…it just disappears.

after you flask the agni kernel don’t restart clear cache then clear dalvik cache and reboot.
more networks, mobile networks, network mode. try switching off lte then back and restart

Worked fine, I hade to install the ROM again cause of ROM booting issue.
After I finished I upgraded “LiquidSmooth” to last version, after install I got “com.android.systemui has stopped” notification, went back to “LS-KK-v3.2-2014-09-30”. Now works fine.
Tried with “LS-KK-v3.2-2014-10-21” and “LS-KK-v3.2-2014-10-27” with same error!
Any suggestions please?
I’ve tested it in two days now, I’m not really happy with it. Here is my experience:
1- It’s laggy
2- Some apps got stopped
3- Phone restarted while I use it
4- As I mentioned in another comment, upgrading to “LS-KK-v3.2-2014-10-21″ and “LS-KK-v3.2-2014-10-27″ giving me same error ”com.android.systemui has stopped” notification
5- Battery life is very short
I’ve tested ”OnePlus One!” ROM and it was awesome, stable, fast, and battery life was amazing!

Reload the ROM. I had this issue the first time I did it as well; reflashing the ROM fixed the problem. I did a full format of the internal SD first as well to clear up all the space.

After using this for a while, I really like this rom. I do have a few issues with it though. I do occasionally get the systemui has stopped. I haven’t found a voice dialer that works. Google now works great, until I use a Bluetooth with it. I did run into a strange period when I would lose my settings: One Plus One conversion theme, my custom ring tones. I had to reset them. The phone would occasionally reboot on its own. Driving mode should be a quick toggle, similar to the stock ROM. The update notice that I got for the ROM is not great, so I went back to this one (3.2). Other than that, I love the customizations.
Update: I went back to the updated Milestone version. It works fine. For some reason, I can’t flash the Agni kernel on it. After tweaking the provided kernel, my phone works just fine. The Google Now through Bluetooth is still unresolved. I’m just not certain if it’s a rom or a phone issue.

where can I find the alternate default app picker in settings?
My phone doesn’t have any ringtones for either phone calls or text notifications. When I go in to send the sound, all my ring tone options are doubled; they show two of each. None of them play a sound. I have tried to most recent builds as well as the milestone build. Nothing works. Any thoughts?
Best Rom, fast, no issues. Works perfect in my AT&T Galaxy Note 2. No problems at all with my External SD Card. Just follow the instructions, but if you coming from the previous version you don’t need to erase any data or factory reset . Just put your phone in recovery install from internal or external card any of the zips you need, one by one, when finish installing, go back till you see reboot system, and that’s it…

Did you check out the FAQ. For me my 4G kept cutting out, I had to delete this APN for Boost? that would be selected as a default and my data would stop working. Once i deleted it, data went back to normal.

Sprint Note 2
I did a fresh install on LS 3.1 (stable) then OTA update on LS 3.2 nightlies, then reboot. OS might hang but be patient, or pull battery. Everything fully functional even 4g (or check build prop). Agni Kernel failed to flash, not sure why.
I had to do a reboot after messing with the audio. It rebooted directly into a boot loop.
I’ve wiped cache/dalvik… formatted system… pulled battery for over an hour and no change.
I’d really like to NOT have to reinstall the rom cause i didnt titanium backup the apps since the install (two days ago) and I dont want to have to remember what i’ve installed since then. Please if there is a solution that i can do without losing everything let me know.

GPS or Location as it appears to be now called has issued for me.
I turn on & off the GPS (or Location) because sometimes I want to preserve my battery after doing this two or three time the GPS locks out and I cant get it back on without doing a full reboot. apart from that after making a few adjustments this is the best ROM I’ve tried for my Note2. Just a pity about the GPS.
Update to what I’ve written above:
When I had the GPS issue I had installed the nightly ‘LS-KK-v3.2-2014-10-27-t0lte’ and changed the kernel to ‘PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v4.3.0_N7105_4.4.x_AROMA’.
However I have just reinstalled the earlier stable ‘LS-KK-v3.1-OFFICIAL-t0lte’ ROM and kept the included Kernel ‘3.0.64-CM’ Now I have no issues at all with (Location) GPS. But I have lost the Pause option with the stock video camera . . . Doh!
I love this ROM but somehow when installing Ive lost my Root access. Is this part of using this rom and I can I get the root access back?

Can someone help me ? I have a weird fail I got a T-Mobile Note2 (T-Mobile Austria) but my version number is still N7100 so I am not able to upgrade to any T-Mobile Roms but when i try International Roms i get a signal strength of -1 (just emergency call) pretty anoying also my 3g works only in 4.3 or higher … I blame T-mobile. I tryed thi rom and everything just worked fine but the internet or even tha registering at T-Mobile

Just Google for the modem in a .zip format so you can install it via custom recovery cwm or twrp
install it and youre fine
but try note to use “T-mobile” versions and changing META-INF this will just screw it up (whoops i tried it xD)

Sideload with adb doesn’t work. Cannot install new recovery, new/stock rom, etc. Odin always fails. It thinks that the external card is sdcard1 (which it will read and write from) and internal is sdcard. On screen it says

E: Can’t open /cache/recovery/log

I have the same issue with my n2 I317 and i been trying now for 2 months to get it fix but nothing works.
Installed Liquid Smooth 3.2 with TWRP 2.7.0.0 on my sprint Note 2. At the boot up screen I’m stock at the liquidsmooth image at the bottom hand screen and it keeps on flashing on and off?
pull out you sdcard download the lateste ver of TWRP (2.8.3) with your PC
put it back in your phone boot in recovery flash the new twrp zip file reboot again in recovery and flash clean install the ROM
Amazing rom for tmobile note 2. Only drawback is Bluetooth issues, i cannot connect to my moto360 or my car Bluetooth. If you can live without that, this is the rom for you, thanks max!

Install this Rom on my Sprint Note 2 and I’m only having 2 issues. 1. Volume on phone while on a call or speaker is low. 2. When on a call the screen doesn’t black out all the times when phone is placed towards your face. I read all the questions and didn’t see anyone else had that issue.
