For this week’s Sprint Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900 ROM of the week, check out Macsk ROM “Plain Jane” version.
Nearly identical to the “All Star” version but this version of Macks ROM comes with stock TouchWiz theme.
Inside Macks ROM “Plain Jane”, you will find all the goodies like 16 ink colors for ink effects, LMT Pie Control, 23 customizable quick toggles, Sony Bravia Engine 3 (for better images/videos), multi-window enabled for all apps, TWO camera (Android 4.2 PhotoSphere + Note 2 Camera), long-press Volume Key Track Skip, AOSP lockscreen, and some more.
Certainly one of my favorite ROMs, if you haven’t tried Macks ROM yet, definitely try the latest version and let me know what you think!

Download Macks ROM “Plain Jane” for Sprint Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900
Download Perseus Kernel for Sprint Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900 (recommended, if you want overclocking/undervolting)
To install, reboot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset (unless coming from TouchWiz-based ROM), install ROM, install kernel, and reboot.

hey i want to install this rom, my phone is rooted but no custom rom is install on my phone just a stock deodexed, or is that a custom rom or is that a touch wiz based rom? will i still have to wipe my phone and do a factory reset, or can I just install the rom from twrp?
Make a backup ROM and just install this ROM over as it’s a Sprint based ROM you should be fine without any wipe/factory reset.

Would you prefer this or Macks Allstar 3.5 or are they pretty much the same

hi man I need help I install a custom rom on my sprint note 2 I install liquid smooth JB-v2-RC1 they come whit nova launcher 1.3.4 how can install a different rom please help
Do the same thing you did to install the liquid smooth ROM.
Rom keeps failing when trying to install..
I can’t even copy the ROM onto the SD card or directly on the phone…Please HELP??? Other Roms copy just fine but just not this.

Are you downloading it from ur phone..if so try downloading it on a pc then transfer the zip file to ur sd card…make sure ur wiping cache davlik/cache factory reset anf system..
I downloaded on the PC and transferred to the SD card and I’m using TWRP to install but it keeps failing every time.
Do I still need to wipe data/factory reset if I’m using Macks “All-Star”?

Go here and download it. You have to install and flash “Plain Jane” then install and flash ” Plain Jane 1.1″
Keeps failing when trying to install.
Same here. TWRP and have downloaded to the phone’s 32 G sd card. Now attempting PC Download… It says Failed to open Zip file on TWRP.
i tried posting the link so u can diwnload it but..every time i do i it gets deleted

Wat version of twrp are u guys using..ive uninstalled this rom and reinstalled it and it flashed fine….yall can also download macks allstar rom 3.5 it has the same same feature and more

You have to download and flash “Plane Jane base” first if you plan on installing a “Plane Jane 1.1”

I’ll try n post it again..but I dont think max want me posting where the orginal source came from…tht will kill his views. ..but if you really want it I cn email u the link…they just came out with Plane Jane 1.1…I try and post it one more time

hey can you tell me where to get the plane Jane cause every time i try to transfer the zip to my phone it wont let me n says something bout the device is disconnected which was false cause other zip files would transfer only this one wouldnt

Hey I been trying to flash the Mack Rom plain jane but it keep saying fail everytime I try too so do u know wht cud b the problem?
When I hit the home button it asks if I want to use touchwiz or xperia.. I don’t know what either of those are. Touchwiz has all my same settings and experia has a blank slate. Please advise.

I am trying to find the best setup for me on my phone. Sprint GN2 Pretty much a newbie, but I’ve been reading as much as I can. Rooted an Evo before this. Looking for a battery saving stable platform. I was just on the stock rom with the Perseus kemal. My complaint is that battery life suffers. & Setcpu no longer works, I like to underclock when the phone is I idle. Not a gamer, just like overclock technology and no lag or studdering. I just installed all star now.but not Perseus. I have watched many GalaxyNote2Root.com videos also considering lab r rats. And possibly a different kernel that likes setcpu.(I don’t know what that is) I don’t understand why some Kernels don’t work with some ROM’s.
And the reason I’m stuck on setcpu is so I can underclock to 200 when the screen is off for battery life.

I think I’m short, what ROM works with what kernel and setcpu? And S-Pen. The rom has great performance when u need it and Stiller battery when it is idle. Thanks in advance.
Everyone should check to see if when you hard press “1” on the dialer to access voicemail, that it actually is calling your cell#. After installing Plain Jane, I can no longer access my voicemail by dial “1”
Hi, I tried to download the plain jane rom and all three times, it came corrupted. I also downloaded the all star version and it worked as it should. I can not extract or move the file at all.
Can someone please verify this link/copy of the rom?
Size is 954 MB (1,001,111,752 bytes)
All three times it came through the same.

hola Cory!!pues la operacion es facil de realizar.Tan solo as de ir a opciones,acerca del dispositivo y la primera opcion es actualizacion de software.Tienes tres opciones para configuar como mas te guste, incluso puedes desmarcar la de actualizaciones automaticas.Asi es como se hace en los modelos europeos.Espero haber servido de ayuda.Saludos desde Madrid…..al otro lado del Atlantico!!!

To rid of the update… Download ROM Toolbox lite/ after download go into root browser/ select etc/ then select security/ then hold folder rite under cacerts. When options come up select delete. Then reboot. When the update comes on again, press install and it should go away not to return
