If you want some serious 1.8Ghz quad-core speeds, multi-view, and wifi-calling, there’s finally a ROM for that, MyROM.

Based on latest T889UVALK8 firmware, MyROM brings UI/RAM/Network speed tweaks along with Note2Core kernel (overclocked to 1.8Ghz out of the box, no need to install SetCPU). Pretty simple ROM yet very fast and brings some of the latest multi-view features.

Try out this ROM for this week if you have a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889 or SGH-T889V and let me know what you think!

Max… love your website. Thanks for posting all of this info for the Note 2. I would be misinformed without it. Well, I tried MyROM out and you were right. It is very fast and everything seems to work fine with it. One of the most noticeable things for me is the speed of when I’m connected to my WiFi. Its like I’m connected directly to the modem by LAN cable! …like that fast. But the one negative that I am noticing is that it is draining the battery a lot faster than the other ROMs that I’ve tried on here. Overall, though, I think its a great ROM. But you might need to get some extra batteries if you plan on using it long! 🙂

I downloaded this Rom yesterday and its been pretty good. Looks basically stock which I like. Apps open and close much quicker than before. As of now my battery life seams pretty normal. Didn’t notice much of a difference. The only thing that I don’t like is that larger apps like Pandora wont center themselves on the home screen. The screen that pops up when you pull out the S pen is chopped off on the corner too. Its just looks kinda screwy. Other than that I like it.

I’m having similar issues with other apps being cut off. Not too sure why this is occurring or if there’s a way to fix it….

I was having the same problem (app screens being cut off). I dropped it and would love to re-flash if this can be fixed…

Is there all-apps multi view on this ROM, or just stock apps? If stock apps, which apps are included?

    • Jon says:

I just watched the video, nevermind. I’ll be checking back for the multi window control app built-in! (Unless it’s really easy to mod/sideload that feature?)

I just found one issue with this. I can no longer connect with blue tooth devices. I have a little boombox that was working fine. Now it says I need a password to connect. No password available. It’s just a boom box. I tried another phone and it worked fine.

I have the same problem, I can’t access the external sd card, I try to install root explore but no luck!!! I have a feeling that I don’t have permission to access…. the speed on this rom is fast, I like the speed…

When I try to factory reset, I get a bunch of errors about e: not being mounted and it seems to fail. After flashing the new rom, I still have all my old data…. Anyone know what’s going on with this?

Installed the custom rom (MyRom) and everything works fine except no more phone. Everytime I try to make a call it shows a “Network not registered” error message. Also with or without the sim card inside it shows signal bars on the display. I tryed re-installing older/other roms which all install, but still no phone and same error message.

BTW my carrier is T-Mobile and the model Note 2 is the T889.

that happened to me before try rebooting phone once and make sure you have good tmo signal and it will register. i had to drive on the highway once to get it to register.

I flashed this and it seemed to work fine. Although after I restored my apps and data from titanium backup I kept seeing “unfortunately myROM home has stopped working.” Any help for this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

New development. If I search around on the Internet heavily for 10+ minutes the phone locks up. I have to remove the battery to bring it back. The back of the phone gets pretty hot too. Maybe this thing can’t take the heat lol.
