Android 4.4.2 ND7 + Root for Verizon Galaxy Note 2!

For this week’s Verizon Galaxy Note 2 ROM of the week, check out the latest Android 4.4.2 ND7 + Root!

Verizon has finally released Android 4.4.2 for the Verizon Note 2, which just came out last week.  Well, you don’t have to unroot to get the latest stock firmware and we actually don’t recommend it as you will be stuck with latest bootloader, which will prevent you from installing AOSP ROMs and you will have to use SafeStrap to install only TouchWiz ROMs.

You can instead install the Android 4.4.2 ND7 Stock ROM which also comes with root and you can keep your older bootloader.  New bootloader does not improve performance in anyway, it just locks you down.

The Android 4.4.2 ND7 seems very solid, I am surprised that it is actually pretty fast out of the box and battery life is good.  If you want to try it out, just make a backup of your current ROM and take it for a test drive over the week(end)!

Download Android 4.4.2 ND7 Stock ROM with Root for Verizon Galaxy Note 2 SCH-i605

Download Android 4.4.2 ND7 Radio (optional, I didn’t find any signal increases so this is optional, only install if you have signal problems.)

To install, simply reboot into CWM or TWRP recovery, backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM then reboot.  If you get errors on boot, reboot into CWM/TWRP, format /system, and re-install ROM.  If coming stock ROM, you can skip wipe data/factory reset but make a backup ROM beforehand just in case!
